        Samuel Faseyitan A lecturer at the Faculty of Pharmacy, Obafemi Awolowo University (OAU), Dr. Udak Olayemi, has raised alarm over the indiscriminate sale of herbal medicines in Nigeria, warning that many hawkers are putting people’s lives at risk. Speaking on "Point Blank," a radio programme aired on Crown 101.5 FM, Ile-Ife, Osun State, on Wednesday, September 24, 2025, Dr. Olayemi disclosed that, while some herbs may be potent and culturally relevant, the absence of scientific measurement and toxicity control remains their greatest flaw. The Doctor recounted the case of one of her ulcer patients who took a herbal concoction mixed with alcohol, which worsened her health condition, stressing that most herbal sellers in the country lack knowledge of dosage, chemistry, and side effects, exposing patients to unnecessary dangers. However, according to the released calendar, freshers in the Faculties of Administration, Arts, EDM, Education, Law, and Social Sciences are to move into their halls of residence on Saturday, October 11, 2025.  Meanwhile, freshers in the Faculties of Agriculture, Basic Medical Sciences, Clinical Sciences, Computing Science and Engineering, Dentistry, Pharmacy, Science and Technology are to resume on Sunday, October 12, 2025. Adetunji Oluwafemi  The Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife, Osun State, has on Tuesday, 2nd September, 2025, commenced its 5th online Post Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (Post-UTME), for the 2024/25 aspirants. Recall that OAU started utilizing an online-based Post-UTME screening during the 2021/22 (Batch A) academic session, and has persisted thence. The screening exercise as scheduled, is to be held from Monday, 1st September, to Friday, 5th September, 2025, with the first day slated for an online optional mock examination, for the candidates.
