Meanwhile, as expected, the released results have again stirred a range of emotions amongst the aspirants, from relief and excitement to tension and uncertainty, as the competition for limited admission slots grows fiercer, particularly for competitive courses like Law, Medicine, Nursing, and Engineering.
In an interview with Moyosoore, an aspiring Law student who participated in the exam, she described the experience as intense but fair, expressing a mix of relief and nervousness, saying, “I’m happy with my score, but with the high level of competition, I’m still praying I meet the cut-off for Law.”
Victor, a Mass Communication aspirant who is yet to see his results expressed his frustration, "this result was released this afternoon, others have seen theirs and I'm yet to see mine." He added that he neither received any mail about malpractice, nor the computer logged him out when writing the exam, hence, he believed his result would be out soon, hoping to have an aggregate score not less than 60
Another candidate, Timileyin, who applied for Computer Science, shared a different perspective. “I didn’t do as well as I hoped, the questions weren’t too hard, but I had limited time. I was stuck on a few that cost me valuable minutes. Still, I’m hopeful because OAU is my dream school.” He added.
Esther, a nursing aspirant who claimed to be so confident in her exam, expecting a Post-UTME score of 35+, expressed her disappointment after having a Post-UTME score of 25. Esther, while expressing her dissatisfaction, added that her UTME score was not so good, and she won't be able to meet up with the nursing cutoff mark, even if less than the previous year's cutoff. "OAU has disappointed me" she lamented!
Following up with the reactions from aspirants, screenshots of scores, predictions of departmental cut-offs, and emotional messages has flooded aspirants' platforms. While some celebrated scores above 20/40, others shared their concerns about narrowly missing their targets, hoping to be transferred to alternative courses.
The screening results which were at first not accessible, are now accessible via the admission portal, at https://admissions.oauife.edu.ng. Candidates are urged to log in using their JAMB registration number and password (SURNAME ), to view their respective scores.
For clarification, aspirants must note that OAU cutoff mark is not static, and no faculty or department has released cut-off marks, however, the cutoff marks from tomorrow, might probably be released on a faculty/departmental basis. Nevertheless, OAU aspirants remain filled with both anticipation and determination
