In the wake of the recent lifting of the ban on student union electioneering at our esteemed institution, Obafemi Awolowo University, a wave of excitement and anticipation has swept across campus. As the election draws near, several candidates have come forward to declare their interest in running for the prestigious position of Student Union President. 1. Taofeek Ogunperi


Hailing from the Department of English Literature, Taofeek Ogunperi is a dedicated and passionate Part 3 student. Currently serving as the Public Relations Officer (PRO) of the student union, Taofeek has wasted no time in making his aspirations known. Through a combination of physical posters and a strong online presence, he has effectively communicated his desire to take on the role of President.

2. Aworanti Salvation 


Presenting a formidable challenge is Aworanti Salvation, a Part 3 student from the Department of Philosophy. Currently holding the position of Vice President in the Student Union, Salvation has publicly announced her intention to vie for the esteemed office of President. 3. Legbeti Joy Oluwasegun


Legbeti Joy Oluwasegun, from the Department of Financial Accounting, brings a unique perspective to the race for Student Union President. As the incumbent Financial Secretary of the Student Union, Legbeti has showcased his dedication and competence in managing financial affairs. With a solid track record, Legbeti has made it clear that he is ready to step up to the challenge and lead as President.

4. Majeed 


Majeed, a third-year student of English, has officially announced his candidacy for the position of Student Union (SU) President through a series of online posters. With his experience as a honourable and a reputation for making a significant educational impact within his department, Majeed has garnered popularity among his peers and is perceived as a formidable contender for other candidates vying for the same position
