OKE AKINJIDE

Walking barefooted also known as earthing.
The importance of walking barefooted sometimes cannot be overemphasized because walking barefooted in nature can provide human body with some incredible health benefits.
Studies have made it known that walking with your feet, directly touching the soil allows your body to absorb negative electron through the earth, which helps to stabilize daily cortisol rhythm and create a balance internal bioelectrical environment.

The benefits of walking barefooted includes
(1.) It controls insomnia- Studies in pubmed revealed that walking barefooted influences physiologic process as well as inducing relaxation. It has also shown that people who walk barefooted have better sleep compared to those who do not.

(2). It controls blood pressure- Studies have shown that the nerves of the feet are stimulated when walking barefooted. This usually leads to the reduction of stress level which helps in controlling blood pressure.

(3). It helps to reduce chronic pain-  To enrich the immune system, earthing increases the oxygen levels of the body and thus, helps reduce chronic or acute pain in the body.

(4). It improves overall posture- Recent studies have shown that shoes have negative effect on our feet, our feet muscle are weaker because of shoe and soft surface which can make our feet to be flexible and strong as they once were.
Our weak foot can cause bad posture which can lead to back pain, neck pain and even knee pain.
