OPINION POLL: WHAT’S YOUR OPINION ON LOVE AT FIRST SIGHT?

1. I believe in love at first sight but then, for it to grow, you have to talk, interact, communicate almost every day, develop quality friendship. Though not all of it works out but I strongly believe in love at first sight.

2. It doesn’t really determine much. Though some persons believe in it but I don’t because you cannot base the foundation of your relationship on this.

3. It’s stupid. I don’t believe in it. It is just exaggerated. It is just like falling into a pit that hasn’t been dug.

4. It is an infatuation. It sounds like an illusion to me. It doesn’t just happen at sight. It shouldn’t be called love at all but infatuation.





5. It doesn’t really exist. It should be called ‘attraction at first sight’. Love should be something that could take even months or years to build.

6. It is a scam. Why? Because it is not love but lust.
                               – A guy’s perspective
7. Two things can attract which are: the innate things and the physical things. Physical things are seen and can be temporal. For this reason, since it is love at “first sight,” it is more of lust than love.

Fresher's Week'24: Students' Union Holds Freshers Inter-Faculty Debate

By  Adetunji Oluwafemi The Great Ife Students’ Union on Monday, 3rd November 2024, held its planned inter-faculty debate for freshmen. The debate is part of the events that have been prepared for Fresher’s Week 2024. The event experienced a slight delay, as the venue was moved from the 1000-seater to Oduduwa Hall by the order of the school management, which requested that the initial venue be vacated because the office of the Vice President, responsible for the event, failed to seek permission before using it. The event began at 12:35 PM. In the quiet corridors of Moremi Hall, a disturbing series of events has shaken the residents, raising questions about security and the unknown intentions of an elusive intruder.   It all started two weeks ago when the inhabitants of Moremi Hall were awoken to the cry of a lady, "Ole! Ole! (the Yoruba name for thief). At exactly 5:00 am, a guy who was wearing a mask was seen darting across the corridors.
