NUT accused FG for allegedly recruiting under qualified teachers

By: Daniel Omole

The Nigerian Union of Teachers (NUT) has accused the Federal Government of Nigeria for recruiting nonprofessionals as teachers in primary and secondary schools across the federation through its N-power programme.
The Secretary of the Anambra State wing of the union, Comrade Livinus Eta Omini in an interview on the 26th of September in Awka attributed the development to poor budgetary allocations to the educational sector. He also added that the parlons votes had its adverse effect on infrastructures, recruitments, welfare, coverage among others. He further stated that the out sourced teachers would only breed and sustain quacksalvers in the profession.
