By Kehinde Babajide

Recently, water scarcity in halls of residence has caused hardship for students. It was gathered that water has not been supplied to Awolowo hall, Fajuyi hall,Alumni hall, Moremi hall since the past three days.
However, in a telephone interview with the Vice Dean of DSA,  Dr. Oluwatosin, it was made known that the scarcity is as a result of the faulty pipe along road one.
He futher stated: “They should be able to bear with us. Is it every time they should be complaining? I am sure some of them must have been passing through road one and they might have seen them where they are repairing the pipe"

Also, the Dean of DSA, Prof. Isiaka Aransi, in a text message, assured that water will be restored in the meantime.
He wrote: “I spoke with the Direction, Division of Works and Maintenance Services on the issue of water scarcity. The problem is connected with a burst pipe along Road one of the University. The Engineers are working round the clock to ensure that water supply is restored urgently.”

Meanwhile, till the moment of filing this report, students are still in the ultimate search for water.
