OAU ASUU declares Monday and Tuesday lectures free days

The Academic Staff Union of University OAU chapter has declared Monday and Tuesday 10th and 11th respectively as lectures free days.

The Association made this decision to show their support for the erstwhile VC of the school Professor Anthony Elujoba was has been remanded by the EFCC for mismanagement of funds.

Recall that the former VC was once arrested by EFCC early this year for not following the due process before spending some money.

However,  OAU ASUU has showed their support by going to the court for solidarity purpose on Tuesday which is the hearing day.

Gilmore, StoneCode, and PaperChaze visit Angola Hall; Gilmore Drinks Garri with Angola Residents

By Adetunji Oluwafemi  Nigerian comedian and skit maker, Muhammad Adekunle, popularly known as Gilmore, visited the Angola Hall of Residence during the evening hours of Saturday, 18th January 2025. He was spotted drinking Garri with the Chairman of the Angola Hall of Residence, Kujembola Olalekan (Ikuuboy), and other executives of the hall. The visit was a result of Markay Entertainment's OAU concert, which is currently being held at the Amphitheater. Gilmore, StoneCode and PaperChaze were the invited skit makers and artists set to perform at the concert. "Help Save Regina": Department of English Seeks Financial Support For Regina In Need of a Kidney Transplant

By Taiwo Oyedeji  Regina Abosede Babalola, a first-year student from the Department of English at OAU, has recently been diagnosed with a severe kidney disease. Her condition has been described as critical, and she is currently admitted to Purplemed Kidney Centre in Ibadan. According to a voice note Regina sent to her brother, Joel Boluwatife Babalola, on May 20, the illness began with her vision becoming blurred and difficulty seeing, which prompted her to visit the Health Centre. After a check-up conducted at the Pharmacy, it was discovered that she had high blood pressure. In an interview, Joel shared how Regina's condition has rapidly worsened since then, as she has been in and out of hospitals, including Obafemi Awolowo University Teaching Hospital Complex (OAUTHC), Seventh Day Adventist Hospital in Ile-Ife, and is now currently admitted to Purplemed Kidney Centre in Ibadan.
