Great Ife Students' Union Electoral Commission Releases Election Calendar and Commences Sales of Forms

The Electoral Commission of the Great Ife Students' Union announced on Thursday, June 13, via a press release that the sale of nomination forms for the union election has commenced. The sale of nomination forms is scheduled to span from Friday, June 14, to Wednesday, June 19. The forms will be available at the Students' Union Building (SUB) Conference Room.
The election timetable and procedures that all candidates are to follow for the upcoming election were also released in a document. A press conference and the Hall Executives Council (HEC)/Central Executives Council (CEC) meetings are set to take place on Wednesday, June 19. The Students Representative Council's screening will occur on Thursday and Friday, June 20 and 21, respectively. Additionally, the HEC manifesto and debate are scheduled for Friday, June 21, followed by the HEC election on Saturday, June 22.
A Press Confrontational Debate for CEC members is planned for Monday, June 24. The CEC manifesto presentation will be on Tuesday, June 25, with the CEC election set for Wednesday, June 26. The official collation and announcement of results are scheduled for Thursday, June 27, and the SRC election will be held on Friday, June 28.
The leadership retreat and the swearing-in of the elected students' union officers will take place after the rain semester examinations.
The Electoral Commission also reminds all candidates and their supporters to adhere to the guidelines that have been previously communicated.
