In today's world, technology has advanced significantly, and artificial intelligence (AI) has become one of the most talked-about innovations. Recently, an AI bot called ChatGPT was introduced, and it has proven to be beneficial in various sectors, especially in the education sector.

ChatGPT has enabled access to information, and it is considered a roadmap to actualizing academic tasks. It has become a solution to the academic puzzle by providing students with instant access to answers and materials needed for their academic pursuits.


However, it is essential to note that AI operates based on what it has been trained to do, and it does not go beyond that. As much as it makes academic tasks more accessible, using AI, such as ChatGPT, does not guarantee academic success. Some students rely heavily on ChatGPT for their academic tasks without making any alterations or putting in any effort to understand the concepts. This approach has resulted in some students not getting the marks they expected.

In a conversation with Ogunleye Oluwapelumi, a student of Electrical and Electronic Engineering and a front-end developer, he pointed out that AI is only useful if students are willing to understand how the problem is being solved, and not just after the answers. He emphasized that students must not rely solely on ChatGPT but should use it as a tool to enhance their knowledge and understanding of the topics.


It is crucial to understand that AI, including ChatGPT, has limitations. It is not a substitute for human knowledge and ideas. As students, we must review the answers generated by ChatGPT and add our unique perspectives to it. AI-generated content should be used as a draft, and students should learn to incorporate their ideas and knowledge into their academic tasks.

In conclusion, AI has become a valuable tool in various sectors, and ChatGPT has made academic tasks more accessible. However, it is not a substitute for human effort and understanding. Students must put in the effort to understand concepts and not rely solely on AI-generated answers. Using ChatGPT effectively and efficiently depends on how students use it to implement their academic tasks.
