Breaking News: OAU Final Year Civil Engineering Student Accused of Theft, Allegedly Murdered by Mob

In a shocking incident that has sent shockwaves through the Obafemi Awolowo University community, a part five student of the department of Civil Engineering, Okoli Ahize, was accused of theft on Monday, April 10, 2023, at Awolowo Hall. According to reports, he was allegedly murdered by a mob after apprehension.
Stories making rounds allegedly state that after being caught, Okoli was subjected to serious torture as reprimand for the theft act before being taken to the hospital where he was declared dead. The incident has left many in the community in a state of shock and disbelief.
The police and other law enforcement agencies have launched an investigation into the case to identify and apprehend the perpetrators of the murderous act. The university administration is yet to issue a statement as at the point of writing this report.
