The incidence of mass theft that hit the Ladoke Akintola Hall of residence during the ASUU strike break has not ceased to be a major topic of discussion amongst students and staff alike. As a result, responses have been made towards reaching a proper understanding of the event.

In a recent report published by ACJ-OAU about the happenings in the hall of residence, many affected persons claimed to have met their rooms in a state suggestive of having been used by an intruder.

Ife, who lost 14 packs of spaghetti tells the reporter that in addition to her missing packs of spaghetti, her vegetable oil seemed halfway used. Anu, who lost a brand-new blender and a big cooler, says her cutlery was missing and her gas cylinder was emptied. 

Residents of room M107 claimed to have returned to dirty dishes, their lockers left open with their foodstuff taken as well. 


Observations like the above present us with a crime perpetrated in a rather comfortable manner and perhaps, by comfortable means.

Fresher's Week'24: Students' Union Holds Freshers Inter-Faculty Debate

The debate is part of the events that have been prepared for Fresher’s Week 2024. The event experienced a slight delay, as the venue was moved from the 1000-seater to Oduduwa Hall by the order of the school management, which requested that the initial venue be vacated because the office of the Vice President, responsible for the event, failed to seek permission before using it. In the quiet corridors of Moremi Hall, a disturbing series of events has shaken the residents, raising questions about security and the unknown intentions of an elusive intruder.   It all started two weeks ago when the inhabitants of Moremi Hall were awoken to the cry of a lady, "Ole!
