HOW TO SLAY CHELSEA BOOTS.
Agoro Ololade
According to Wikipedia, Chelsea boots are close-fitting, ankle-high boots with an elastic side panel. They often have a loop or tab of fabric on the back of the boot, enabling the boot to be pulled on. The boot dates back to the Victorian era, when it was worn by both men and women.
These boots, designed by J. Sparkes Hall, one of Queen Victoria's bootmakers, were designed originally for walking and horse riding. What makes Chelsea boots stand out from regular ankle boots is their elastic side panel. These boots are versatile i.e they can be worn many ways.
Chelsea boots are timeless fashion mostly because they can be worn with formal and casual outfits. When paired with jeans, they go better with cuffed jeans with a distressed hem that meets the top of the boots or slightly cropped jeans.
Men can rock Chelsea boots either casually in jeans, or formally in a suit. It should be noted that when Chelsea boots are in worn with trousers, you do not tuck in the ends into the boots. The reason for this is to avoid stretching the boots out as Chelsea boots are meant to fit snugly instead of being baggy. Hence, trousers with shorter hems are better.
Women can rock these boots with a shift dress (which practically suits every body type since it is not figure hugging), a minidress, a bodysuit, a skirt set or even lounge wear. After all, boots are definitely a more stylish option than other comfortable footwear
