A MINUTE SILENCE HELD IN HONOUR OF HERITAGE ON THE FOOTBALL PITCH

In the early hours of today, the Obafemi Awolowo University football sides, Crajax of English and Linguistics Department Football Club, engaged in a friendly football match at the Porters' Gate Stadium.

The football match which was held in readiness for the upcoming University Carabao Cup with which both the Crajax FC and Linguistics FC are participants, saw Crajax winning the Linguistics sides 2 goals to 1 at full time.

However, at halftime, both team players and crew decided to honour their recently departed classmate and coursemate, Heritage Ajibola, in a standing one-minute silence demonstration.

All Players and members of crew gathered in an almost circle at the midfield box and a minute silence was observed by everyone in Heritage's honour

The very emotional moment halted at the referee's whistle motioning the start of the second half of the match.

In the end, one of the match's goal scorers, Mayowa, dedicated his goal to God and his demised coursemate, Heritage.

"We can't help but miss her. Her tenderness, brilliance and grace." Says Crajax FC manager, Felix.
