In a circular posted by the Division of Students Affiar, OAU, the special release on accomdation stated that students in all halls of residence are to vacate the hostel with all their belongings on or before 31st December, 2019. The Division also specified that students undergoing SIWES, Teaching Practice, and the college of health sciences students should meet their HODs for possible consideration. However, the Division further stated that stalelites do not have to ballot for bed space henceforth. "...Stalelites should note that there is no bed space for them hence, there is no balloting for accomodation for the coming session (2019/2020), only freshers would be given accomodation." This information arrives at a time when students have traveled to their various destinations to celebrate with their families and prepare for the next session.

A school in Enugu state called Pine Crest School organised a drama titled "The Royal Wedding" in order to teach children a practical way. It was gathered that the drama served as a pedagogical deepening of third-grade scheme of work on marriage. The photos got mixed reaction on social media as the little " couple" dressed in their wedding outfit. The groom wore a blue suit while the bride wore a white dress for the court marriage and a pink dress for the reception. Some people claimed it was a nice idea considering the kids dress and the settings while some people claimed that it could make the kids act like they are real couple and this is bad for their age.
