OAU STUDENT ORGANIZES CONFERENCE

Mr. Olalekan Olatunbosun (Catalyst), a vibrant student and incumbent public Relations Officer in the Faculty of Education sets to organize a conference tagged: THE CATALYST CONFERENCE.

The  theme for the maiden edition of the conference is;
*THE YOUTHS NIGERIA DESERVES*,

The Catalyst Conference would hold on *Friday 10 June, 2019 at AJOSE LECTURE THEATRE* by 10am

The following would be discussed under the conference;
_The purpose driven youth, the entrepreneurship-inclined youth, and politically active youths._

There would be speakers from all spheres of life to take each aspect. These speakers will be talking about experiences and equipping the youth for life challenges.

Speakers who would be gracing the conference are:

Prof. Ibraheem Gbajabiamila, Vice Chancellor Cresent University Abeokuta, Seyi Durojaye, Barr. Adewumi Adediran and many others.

The Convener, Mr. Olalekan Olatunbosun, in a press conference stated that the conference is aimed at transforming the lives of youths and  at the end of the conference everyone that attends it must be able to make changes and do the needful towards the progress of the country.

A platform would also be created for those who attend the programme to encourage and remind them of the things they have learnt.

At the end of the programme, Excellence in Education (EiE) awards would be presented to:

*Prof. Ibraheem Gbajabiamila*
_Vice Chancellor, Cresent University_

*Prof.Eyitope Ogunbodede*
_Vice Chancellor, Obafemi Awolowo University_

*Prof. M.A Adeleke*
_Dean,  Faculty of Education_  and 20 others for will bag meritorious awards.

Fresher's Week'24: Students' Union Holds Freshers Inter-Faculty Debate

By  Adetunji Oluwafemi The Great Ife Students’ Union on Monday, 3rd November 2024, held its planned inter-faculty debate for freshmen. The debate is part of the events that have been prepared for Fresher’s Week 2024. The event experienced a slight delay, as the venue was moved from the 1000-seater to Oduduwa Hall by the order of the school management, which requested that the initial venue be vacated because the office of the Vice President, responsible for the event, failed to seek permission before using it. The event began at 12:35 PM. MOREMI HALL: A Tale of Night Stories: When Will It End? In the quiet corridors of Moremi Hall, a disturbing series of events has shaken the residents, raising questions about security and the unknown intentions of an elusive intruder.   It all started two weeks ago when the inhabitants of Moremi Hall were awoken to the cry of a lady, "Ole! Ole! (the Yoruba name for thief). At exactly 5:00 am, a guy who was wearing a mask was seen darting across the corridors. He was said to have stolen phones, and while he tried to escape, he was seen by some ladies who raised the alarm.   An eyewitness who will like to remain anonymous said he ran out of the kitchen and jumped down from the second floor to the ground.
