OAU: VC ASSURES MORE BEDSPACE ON CAMPUS

On Monday April 29, 2019 during the matriculation ceremony of 6750 students out of 37000 applicants that applied for admission from the university. The vice chancellor, Professor Eyitope Ogunbodede at the matriculation ceremony  assured everyone that there is plan to increase the number of bedspace on OAU campus to 10,000. Furthermore, the VC also spoke about issue of transportation on campus and made it clear that there is provision of 30 sitters buses to reduce the challenges of students' transportation.

However, It is obvious that the students who were matriculated on April 29 are full of joy as expressed by Okeke Joy a newly admitted student of student of History and International relations:

"I enjoyed myself and can't even estimate my happiness. Although nobody came for me, I took lots of pictures with the beautiful landscape and flowers. I am so happy to be a legal student of this great university."

Also, Adewusi Zainab, a newly admitted student of Public Administration expressed her joy and happiness to be finally matriculated after two years of waiting at home and was delighted on seeing the Vice Chancellor finally. she also added that the university officials were time conscious as her department entered the hall around 9am which was the exact time stated for the first batch.
