OAU FSRC LEADERSHIP ELECTION NULLIFIED

        The Faculty of Arts students Association representative council Obafemi Awolowo University has nullified  the election of the leadership of the house and declared speaker- elect  and the deputy speaker -elect of the association Comrade Akin Adeleke and Mr Tobi respectively impeached on 15th February, 2018.

The impeachment verdict of the house was made due to the letter of petition against his emergence as the speaker of the house written by Mr Oladebo Idris Akinwale who was a candidate against Comrade Akin,  alleging both the electoral committee and the screening procedures which brought him as violations of constitution.

In his petition, he claimed that Comrade Akin had been convicted by the parliament and had also been suspended indefinitely as the P.R.O of the association, while Mr Tobi was also alleged similarly,   and due to their indictment , they should not be allowed to contest not to mention of being the leaders of the house.

Although,  the defendant ( Comrade Akin Mr Tobi)  were absent from the sitting likewise the leadership of the house and some honourable of the house but the quorum was suspended and the sitting was presided by Honorable Adesola and Honorable Petkoff  as the clerk , the verdict was still made by the hallowed chamber.

Sequel to the nullification, the baton of power in the house was given to Honorable Akinwale Idris.

Although, when Comrade Akin was consulted he insisted that he was never suspended as the P.R.O of the association since there is no proof for his suspension.

Fresher's Week'24: Students' Union Holds Freshers Inter-Faculty Debate

The debate is part of the events that have been prepared for Fresher’s Week 2024. The event experienced a slight delay, as the venue was moved from the 1000-seater to Oduduwa Hall by the order of the school management, which requested that the initial venue be vacated because the office of the Vice President, responsible for the event, failed to seek permission before using it. In the quiet corridors of Moremi Hall, a disturbing series of events has shaken the residents, raising questions about security and the unknown intentions of an elusive intruder.   It all started two weeks ago when the inhabitants of Moremi Hall were awoken to the cry of a lady, "Ole!
