"Stalelites have slim chances in getting bed space" - DSA,OAU
Babajide Kehinde The Division of Student Affairs, Obafemi Awolowo University on 6th January,2020 circulated a release through the Vice Dean, DSA sequel to the earlier release on accommodation stating that stalelites are not eligible for accomodation while only freshers would be considered. In the new release, the DSA stated that it was not intentional to depart from the culture of giving bedspaces to students but was decided as a result of the limited bed spaces on campus. The DSA further stated: "The University management is making frantic efforts to secure the immediate usage of the newly constructed hostels at Parakin Area..." It should be recalled that the school management was alleged to have been in a brawl with the indigenes of Ile-Ife due to a landed property at Parakin a year ago.
